On the way to Dubai in 1979, Mohan was reading the Bible and confronted a God who sent His Son Jesus to spill his blood for the world, a sacrifice to cover sins one could never achieve on their own. Everything he knew through his Hindu religion clashed with this idea of a God pouring His blood out for people. 

Mohan asked himself: Who is this God who wants to give His blood for me? Why have I been giving the blood of my animals to this tree god?

Mohan took his questions to a church in Dubai to search for answers and met a pastor named Cam. Mohan gave his life to Jesus and was a disciple there for fourteen years.

In 1997 Mohan felt God calling him back to his Hindu village. He got on the plane trusting God with a one-way ticket and one goal, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with his people.

There was a lady there who helped the sacrifices to the tree god. She was demon possessed, cutting the animals with her teeth and drinking up to 10 liters of water at a time to worship the tree. Shortly after Mohan returned she found that she was losing business. She heard Mohan brought a God back. 

At a palm tree roof service, Mohan saw her in the back and shared his testimony. This lady who was once demon possessed accepted Jesus into her heart. She gave her house as the first church in the village.
